Summer Camps

UGA Summer Music Camp
Athens, GA June 7-11

The University of Georgia Summer Music Camp is an intensive five-day musical experience. This program offers students a place to grow musically in a fun and exciting learning environment. (Students who are rising 6th-12th graders are eligible to attend.  They must have at least one year of experience on their instrument.)  During this time, students will rehearse, take private lessons, attend musicianship class, perform, and have daily master classes with our internationally renowned University of Georgia School of Music Faculty. Campers end the camp week with a performance on Thursday, June 11, 2009.

The Summer Music Institute differs from our traditional camp experience in a variety of ways.  A performance-intensive curriculum will serve advanced students who are seriously considering music as a major area of study in college.  Students who are rising 10th, 11th, and 12th graders are eligible

Applications for our Music Camp are due by May 29, 2009 and the application as well as audition materials for our Summer Music Institute are due by April 15, 2009.
